Cervical screening (also known as a smear test) is a test which checks the health of your cervix (the entrance to your womb). It’s not a test for cancer, but it can help prevent cancer by detecting early changes to the cells in your cervix. Cervical screening is offered to anyone with a cervix between the ages of 25 and 64.
